Care in Action e.V. Waldspielplatz 44, 82319 Starnberg, Germany is exempt from corporation tax according to the last approval issued on 15.02.2024 from the Munich Tax Office, as the association exclusively and directly serves tax-privileged charitable and non-profit purposes.
Care in Action is registered in the court of Munich, Germany, with the purpose to help disadvantaged children, especially those without parental care, to grow up to succeed in life. Here are our governing legal Statutes.
Care in Action is governed by 20 Association Members, which includes Members of the Management Board who have responsibility for legal matters. The Board meets monthly and on demand to keep up to date with development and contribute their expertise to strategic decision making. All Members give their time on a voluntary basis to support the charity.
Josef Lierzer – Management Board 1st Chairman: Engineer, now retired from a career in planning and construction management for insurance and automotive companies. A founding Member and Treasurer for Care in Action who has regularly volunteered many hours since 1998 to support the effective management of Care in Action.
Dr Horst Goss - Management Board 2nd Chairman: With 20+ years of leadership experience in investment / asset management, Horst is also very active in the non-profit sector, as Co-founder of the social venture capital provider BonVenture as well as Member of the Board of the Max Planck Foundation.
Jasmine Lehnis - Executive Director: Master of Business Administration with experience in international development and fundraising. Jasmine works full time, and is responsible to run the organisation in accordance with our Statutes, Mission and directives from Board Members.
Janice Lehnis - Co-Founder and Management Board Member: Developed and led teacher and parenting training programs for over 20 years before establishing trainings and seminars for orphanage directors, carers and volunteers in Ukraine. Janice is employed part-time to support fundraising and administration.
